The NWB Education Program provides schools with a comprehensive, industry-aligned approach to woodworking education. Built upon the proven MiLL model, the program combines progressive, hands-on curriculum, educator training, and industry-recognized skill standards to prepare students for meaningful careers in woodworking and wood manufacturing.
Designed to support educators and connect classrooms with industry, the program gives schools the tools and resources to develop and sustain high-quality woodworking education.

The NWB Education Program features four progressive levels of hands-on woodworking instruction: Foundations 1, 2, 3, and 4. Each level builds upon previously developed skills, helping students advance from essential safety practices and woodworking fundamentals to more complex manufacturing processes and projects.
Designed for classroom implementation, the curriculum provides educators with structured lessons, hands-on projects, and opportunities to assess student progress.

The NWB Education Program includes in-person teacher training designed to familiarize educators with the curriculum, instructional approach, and hands-on projects.
Beyond initial training, NWB helps connect educators with resources, industry expertise, and a growing network of schools implementing the program.
The NWB Education Program incorporates the Woodwork Career Alliance (WCA) national skill standards, providing students with a pathway to demonstrate their woodworking knowledge and abilities.
Through hands-on assessments and the WCA Passport credentialing system, students can document their progress and earn recognition for skills valued by woodworking and wood manufacturing employers.
This partnership helps bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry expectations, preparing students for continued education and career opportunities.

The NWB Education Program provides schools with comprehensive curriculum, educator training, and industry-aligned resources to support successful implementation.
Whether you're establishing a new woodworking program or strengthening an existing one, NWB can help you explore the opportunities and determine the best path forward.
